Goodness the morning news sure was a buzz today with anorexic interest rates on everyone's headlines!!! Ah... but just minutes later while enjoying my highly caffeinated macchiato I hear from across the table "We'll soon come to the days of my grandparents when three generations lived together in one home." She meant that soon in our area - much because of our culture - we will soon revert back to our old ways... trusted ways that worked for us but seem backwards to others in the far corners of the nation. Many of us will lose our homes and move back in with our parents or other family members until we can get back on our feet financially. Many of the businesses, big box retailers, manufacturing/distribution centers and other large employers will lay-off many of us which will in turn lessen our chances of purchasing new homes. What will this do to our market? Well, it seems as though everyone's predictions on Wall Street are far from actuality. Personally, I am hoping that our "Valley" history of conservative spending will be our saving grace and continue to keep us from what the rest of the nation is experiencing. Yes, we will hurt for a short while and, yes, possibly even move in with other family members and/or friends... but we always seem to bounce back.
